Stephanie Pearl-McPhee "At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much "

Objektiivselt võttes on kudujad kummaline seltskond, subjektiivselt, st meie endi arvates, pole toredamaid (loe normaalsemaid) inimesi olemaski.

I love  being married. It's so great to find one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life. - Rita Rudner.
It took me years and years of trial effects to work out that there is absolutely no knitting triumph I can achieve that my husband will think is worth being woken up.
As strange as I find this, I will try to respect it.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness" - Dave Barry
It's difficult for those who live with passionate knitters. From time to time, they might even consider us odd. Every time hm husband starts talking about how crazy I am like knitting this much, I remind him... It could be worse. What if I were this interested in cabbage?
I will not let non-knitters of the world decide how normal I am.

My knitting is in constant state of competition with the household chores. After years and years of painful juggling, I have almost completely decided to give up the housework. The way I see it, I can always clean up the house when I am old, but I'll never get this knitting time back.
Remember, dusting requires the same arm movement whether it has been a week or a month.

Ordinarily he was insane, but he had lucid moments when he was merely stupid. - Heinrich Heine.
I have been trying to get my stash of yarn under control. My husband thinks this means that I am trying to get rid of some yarn. In truth, it actually means that I have been trying to find much, much better hiding spots,
I will remember that there is more than one way to get control of an issue.

"At Knit's End" pole Stephanie Pearl-McPhee ainuke teos, juhul kui seda ette ei jää, siis teised on:
  • "Yarn Harlot: The Secret Life of a Knitter"
  • "Knitting Rules!: The Yarn Harlot's Bag of Knitting Tricks"
  • "Stephanie Pearl-McPhee Casts Off: The Yarn Harlot's Guide to the Land of Knitting"
  • "Things I Learned from Knitting (Whether I Wanted To or Not)"
  • "Free-Range Knitter: The Yarn Harlot Writes Again"
  • "All Wound Up"
Kõiki polegi mõtet lugeda, sest ta kipub end kordama.
